Before you undergo the Discseel Procedure, Dr. Perl will perform a physical examination and evaluate prior MRI procedures, and spine surgeries to determine if you are a candidate.

This detailed imaging procedure will identify annular tears in your affected discs, which cannot be seen using less detailed MRI or discograms.

Dr. Perl will inject fibrin, an FDA approved biologic, into the torn disc. This process will seal the annular tears immediately, and promote cellular regeneration and growth of new disc tissue.

The healing process begins immediately and continues over the course of several months. We encourage patients to begin walking the day after the procedure and schedule a follow up with Dr. Perl.
